As many of you have already done, I would like to dedicate and celebrate the life of Andon Knepp. I know I am a couple of days late, but I feel that I'd rather be late than never! I don't know Chelsa, Ryan, or Brycen personally, but I feel that God has asked me to pray and do all that I can to help this family as they heal. On Saturday, Valentine's Day, my husband and I did a couple of things to celebrate each other, which I feel is how we remembered and celebrated Andon. Bill and I decided to sleep in on Saturday, as that is one of my favorite things to do-not only because I love to sleep, but also because that is how I relax with my husband. We don't get to sleep in or relax as much as we would like to, so waking up beside him a couple of hours later than what we usually do was really nice and I enjoyed every minute of it. Another thing that we did on Saturday was that we took time for each other. There are so many times in life when we are rushed around and are always in a hurry and that is when we usually forget the things that mean the most to us or just take the time to enjoy the small things. Bill and I went to Evansville for Valentine's Day, but we decided that we didn't want to be on a schedule or hurry or not let the other one do something that they wanted to do. We didn't leave home until 12:30 or 1 and just enjoyed the day. I let Bill eat at Outback, his favorite, and he let me do some shopping at the mall. We really enjoyed the day and each other's company without being on a schedule. Although these may not seem like things that celebrated life or Andon, they mean something special to me, and I know Andon meant something special to so many people. So to Chelsa, Ryan, Brycen, and the rest of their family, I hope you celebrate his life and that my little gift of remembrance was just a small piece of celebration and living life!
Well I better get back to the laundry and other cleaning items! This week will continue to be busy with work and finishing the basement! Hopefully the next post will be about enjoying the new family room!
Blessings,
Whitney
