March Happenings

The month of March brought nicer, warmer days, as well as some busy weekends. My childhood friend Audrey had a baby shower the first weekend in March. She was expecting her first child in April, a girl whose name would be Annabelle Marilyn. Her middle name Marilyn is after Audrey's sweet grandma Marilyn who passed away from cancer. It was so nice catching up with her and our other friends. It was also the first time seeing my best friend Amy pregnant. She is expecting twins and it was so nice to see her smile and happy after the long awaiting to get pregnant. Here are some pictures from that day.

Our weekends during the month of March were spent watching the North Daviess Cougars basketball team. They were fortunate to win Sectional at home, win Regional at Loogootee, but just come up short at the Southport Regional against the eventual State Champion. Our team wasn't expected to win the sectional, so it was great to see them work as a team and go all the way to Semi-State. Great season Cougars!

Even though we would have loved to go to State to cheer on the Cougars, the next weekend I went with my parents and sisters (Bill had to work :( ) to my nephew Braeden's basketball game. He is in a league for 6-7 year olds and he has improved so much over the year. We ate lunch at Texas Roadhouse on the way up, watched his game, and stopped at Sam's on the way home.
